My fly box is now filling up very nicely and I have been getting some fantastic ideas on tying split up winged dry flies with a new technique I have never seen before. I keep getting into trouble bringing my own materials. They seem to have it all, so there is no need. That's what your £2 is for.

Fly tying and fly casting classes begin on 18th of October 2018 at Whitecraigs Rugby Club, 199-201 Aurs Road at Stewarton Road, Newton Mearns, G77 6PX. (See map below). This will run from the above date, most Thursdays till the end of March 2018 from 19:00 to 21:00 approx.
Classes are off over the Christmas and New year. Starting back Thursday 10 January 2019.
The classes are held in the main bar area and the Committee Room.
From the main door go straight ahead through another 2 doors sets of doors. If you see the bar you are in the right place. On quieter days we will be in the Committee room, The door will be closed.
They also have several fly casting instructors.
Weather permitting, they can take casting classes out in the floodlit rugby pitches.
All EAA members are welcome, including waiting list applicants.
The Club is run by The Totally Awesome Community Fishing Club which is based at the Rugby Club and is part of the Newton Mearns Sports Hub.
There is NO joining fee but a charge of £2:00 per Thursday night when attending will be collected.
All materials, hooks, equipment and tuition is provided.
All persons who attend have the use of the Rugby Club's facilities including lounge and bar area.
There will also have professional fly tyers attending throughout this time.
There are a few of our members now attending regularly so you will see some familiar faces. It is a great evening out, even better getting the wife to drive and have a wee pint, while she enjoyed her book in front of the log fire.
