My fly box is now filling up very nicely and I have been getting some fantastic ideas on tying split up winged dry flies with a new technique I have never seen before. I keep getting into trouble bringing my own materials. They seem to have it all, so there is no need. That's what your £2 is for.
Fly tying classes begin on 2nd of November 2017 at Whitecraigs Rugby Club, 199-201 Aurs Road at Stewarton Road, Newton Mearns, G77 6PX. (See map below). This will run from the above date, most Thursdays till the end of March 2018 from 19:00 to 21:00 approx.
Over the Christmas and New Year period the last session will be 21st December and starting back again on 11th January.
The classes are held in the main bar area. From the main door go straight ahead through another 2 doors sets of doors. I if you see the bar you are in the right place.
All EAA members are welcome, including waiting list applicants.
The Club is run by The Totally Awesome Community Fishing Club which is based at the Rugby Club and is part of the Newton Mearns Sports Hub.
There is NO joining fee but a charge of £2:00 per Thursday night when attending will be collected.
All materials, equipment and tuition is provided.
All persons who attend have the use of the Rugby Club's facilities including lounge and bar area.
There will also have professional fly tyers attending throughout this time.
There are a few of our members now attending regularly so you will see some familiar faces. It is a great evening out, even better getting the wife to drive and have a wee pint, while she enjoyed her book in front of the log fire.
